Comprehension

Comprehension sits at the heart of almost every 11+ English paper. Even where it is not tested directly, it underpins everything else — vocabulary, verbal reasoning, grammar and writing. It is what turns separate skills into a command of English.

Creative Writing

Creative writing runs alongside comprehension in all we do. In some sessions it takes centre stage — planning, drafting and shaping a piece from first line to last. In others it works quietly in the background, as close reading, vocabulary and sentence craft feed into how well a child writes.
